I use three social-networking services. The sites I use are Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter. Overall, I spend about 15 minutes a day on social networking sites.
I use Facebook most often when I am social-networking. I use this site to keep in contact with friends whom I do not see on a regular basis. I usually spend the whole 15 minutes a day on this site. Facebook is convenient for me because I use it mostly from my iPhone. I can update it and see what friends are doing wherever and whenever I want.
I used to be a big fan of myspace, but then again weren't we all. Now, I am only use this site once in a blue moon to check for updates with friends and to keep in touch with some people who have not advanced to other social-networking sites.
Twitter is new to me and I have not quite figured it out. I am slowly grasping onto how it works and I am sure eventually it will be all I use to network with friends. I don’t spend time on this site only because I have yet to fully understand it and my friends are still behind me when it comes discovering the site.
I place value you on social-networking sites because they help me to easily keep in contact with friends and family who are out of state. Although, I wouldn’t want to pay for this type of service. If it came down to having to pay for a website to talk to a friend every once in a while, I would probably just text or call them. If I did pay it would be no more then ten dollars.
Social-networking sites are great tools for keeping in touch with the people you surround yourself with. Although, there should not be a price on these sites.
