Mass Communications Comes to a Close

Reading the Wall Street Journal really enhanced the learning experience i received in my Mass Communications class. It helped us to focus on current events and keep up with the trends. This class taught us about the current issues relating to newspapers, internet, television, advertising, public relations, and books. If we had learned from a book, we would have been learning things that were outdated. Having daily assessments was much more effective than having a mid-term and a final.

I am not going to continue my subscription with the Wall Street Journal. I can’t seem to find the time read it on a regular basis. Although, I do enjoy reading the paper so I will pick one up from a stand if I am inclined to purchase one.

This class was probably one of my favorite classes. Also, I learned more from this class than any of my other classes this semester. I don’t think you could make this class any better. Its great just the way it is.

I am planning to base my career off of a part of this class. I am pursuing a career in public relations and advertising in the fashion industry. This class has really shown we many different aspects of that field of work.
